5B Unit 4 Seeing the doctor一教学内容:译林出版社牛津小学英语5B Unit 4 Seeing the doctor (第四课时)二教学目标:1. 知识目标(1)学会字母组合“ch”的发音/t?/(2).知道摄氏度和华氏度的区别。(3)会用should 和should not 向他人提出建议。2. 能力目标(1)通过创设情境,使学生理解感受并能运用所学单词、句型进行交流,进一步培养学生的口语表达能力。(2)培养学生小组合作学习,综合运用语言的能力以及创造性,发散性思维。3情感目标(1). 在教学过程中培养学生学习兴趣,帮助他们树立自信心,鼓励学生积极参与语言交际活动。(2). 培养学生的自我保护及安全意识。三教学重点:1. 在情境中谈论疾病并会给他人合理的建议。2. 知道如何健康地生活。四教学难点:能运用所学句型在设定的情景中对话,知道如何健康地生活。五教学准备:课件,板贴等。六教学过程:Step1. Preparation1.Greetings2.Discuss:When should we see the doctor? Introduce the topic: Kids Check-up Day Step2. PresentationTask1.轮到学生Jack进行眼科检查,学习Sound time.a. Color blindness test: review some phrases and structures. b. Vision test: (1)The left eye: Ss look at the vague picture and find things spelled with the letters “ch”. Teach the pronunciation/t/ of “ch” and the difference between a chair and a bench (2) The right eye: Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks. Read after the tape. Ss brainstorm more words. Ss try to spell some new words. Ss give Jack advice on how to protect the eyes. You should go to bed early.You should drink much water.You should eat a lot of fruit.You should do eye exercise.You shouldnt read in the sun.You shouldnt play computer games.Task2. 轮到学生Amy进行牙齿检查,复习Story time中出现的重点结构。 a. Enjoy a video and answer the question: Whats wrong with Amy? b. Give advice to Amy c. Lets say: read the dialogue in different tones. The dentist advice:To keep your teeth healthy, you should brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning and before bedtime . You should change your toothbrush every three months .You can also rinse your mouth after meals .You should visit me and check your teeth once a year.创设情境,体检后上交表格,缺Liu Tao和Tim的,探寻原因;分别处理Culture time和Checkout time中的Listen and choose. Task3. Whats wrong with Liu Tao? a. Guess the reason for Liu Taos absence b. Listen and answerc. Teach “temperature” and the two units (Fahrenheit & Centigrade) to describe it. d. Enjoy the origins of the two unitse. Crackerjacks in daily life: choose the right unit to describe the temperature. f. Loving advice from friends: give some advice to Liu Tao. Task4. Whats wrong with Tim? a. Listen and choose b. Mums advice: imitate the gentle tonec. Advice from a tiger mother: Ss give advice to Tim in the tone of a tiger mother.Mum: Whats wrong with you, Tim? Tim: I have a headache, mum.Mum: Do you feel cold?Tim: Yes, I do. Im thirsty, too. Mum: Have some water and medicine. Tim: Thank you, mum. Can I go to the park and fly a kite with Mike now? Mum: No, you cant. You should have a rest at home.Tim: Ok. Mums advice:You should drink some warm water/take some medicine/have a good rest /stay in bed /go to bed/You shouldnt eat ice cream/play football/ride bikes in the park/go to the party/watch TV. . .Step 3 Production 创设情境,上交体检单号,护士向学生提供世界卫生日的宣传册,处理Checkout time中的Think and write并对整单元进行总结。Task5: Complete the booklet about World Health Day a.Think and write: fill in the blanksb.Read and summarize some tips for Ss c. Tips for a healthy life: T asks Ss to give some tips on keeping healthy. Step 4 Homework1.Give your family, friends or teachers some tips on health. 2.Make a poster on World Health Day to help raise peoples awareness of being healthy. These phrases may help you :black and blue (青一块紫一块) ache(疼痛)bleeding (流血) stay in bed (卧床休息)(作业设计紧密围绕课文展开,又高于课本。文本对看医生的情境进行了拓展,从体检的角度展开,作业则设计了对体检的故事拓展,且有了课上讨论、表演的铺垫,此时课后写一写关于提高人们健康意识亦是一个很好的英语书面语言的锻炼,也是对本课学习的反馈、检查,说与写的结合才能帮助学生将英语真正学好学扎实。
